What fantastic way to start a new series! After reading Jack and Constance story, I’m looking forward to the rest of this series. The Jamestown brides came from England to find husbands. Jack and Constance each had loved someone else and lost them for different reasons. Their story, from when Jack saw Constance get off the boat and knew for whatever reason that he would marry her, until they arrived to their HEA, is a story well worth reading. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!I was given this Arc and I voluntarily wrote this honest review.
Great story. A young lady had been seeing a man for a while when she found he was to marry another after her Father's Business had gone own . Her Father sent her across the ocean to start a new life. A man saw her getting off the boat and decided this was the wife he wanted. A must read for those who enjoy historical western romance kindle books from Amazon at a special price and from a delightful author who keeps me entertained throughout the entire book before putting it down.An event filled book.
If you like American History and the settling of the colonies this is the story for you. i'm amazed at the courage of the men and women who left their homeland and journeyed to the new world knowing they would never return leaving behind family and friends. I loved Constance and Jack's story and what a good beginning to another great series. I can hardly wait for the next book. Indiana Wake is a very talented story teller.I was given this Arc and I voluntarily wrote this honest review.
I found this story about the 1620s to be a very entertaining tale. I don't often read stories of days that far back, I have read a few series of stories of lords and earls, the ladies of that time also. The author has done a great job of putting the feelings of the woman in this story of love lost there for us to share with her. The characters of this story live a very brave trip across the ocean in search of a new life, I can't even think of of the courage that must have took.
Constance came from England because of her father downfall of fortune and the man she loves becoming engaged to a more wealthy woman. Jack is also from England only many years earlier because of a great loss in his life. Jamestown has contracted to have eligible young ladies come to Jamestown with marriage in mind. They marry but will they ever find the true love that they both desire?
This is a wonderful story about a young lady that has been in love with a London attorney for quite a while. When he finds she has no dowry he turns his back on her and marries another. To keep from seeing them together all the time and save the remainder of her heart she agrees to go to the colonies in Jamestown as a mail order bride.
I received an ARC of this book from the author, Indiana Wake, and this is my voluntary and honest review. This book is a great start to this new series. I enjoyed it and know that anyone who enjoys historical romances will love this book. I look forward to the rest of this series.
