These are great books for young children to hold during family devotion time. My 3 and 5 year old each have their own. The pages are minimalistic and focused. My kids love the unique illustration for each question.We use these in conjunction with the expanded version which contains the full length catechism answers and corresponding Bible verses. Has all of the questions in a size perfect for back pocket or purse. Ours is on our dining table with the napkins. No need to whip out your phone with the app as long as you have this little book around.I wish it had the corresponding verses as well. But the black book (next step up) has all of that.
I keep this in our morning basket and it helps our mornings stay screen-Free.
I have the adult edition and I got this for my 8 year old daughter and now we can study essentials together. It is not only a spiritual benefit but it is also a way for us to spend time together with out iPhones, iPads, and the like
We already love this! I have been using the App, but there is something so great about a printed version. It is a very simply q&a so I use the app with it and just write in the scripture and other notes since there is extra blank space on each booklet page. My two year old loves holding it - it’s such a nice size for kids.
Our kids used to memorize the catechisms at our old church. When we moved, we wanted to continue them. This book is perfect! Even our 3yr old is memorizing them.
I like that this is smaller and abridged. I would say this is more for younger elementary aged kids.
Great for communicating basic truths of the faith to children. Could benefit from some kind of short explanation expanding on the truth.
